Jaya Bachchan had opened up about how her daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has fitted well in their family during her appearance on Koffee With Karan
Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan is known to never mince her words. The veteran, who often makes the headlines for cursing out the paparazzi for clicking her pictures and videos during her outings, had once opened up about her newly-wed daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She had heaped praises on the actress for her quiet personality on Koffee With Karan in 2007, the same year her son Abhishek Bachchan had gotten married.
The veteran had attended the show alongside her daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda. Talking about Aishwarya’s stardom and how she is gelling well with the family, Jaya had told Karan Johar, “She is lovely. I love her. I have always loved her. I have never ever seen her push herself whenever we are all together. I like that quality of hers to stand behind. She is quiet. She listens and she is taking it all in. And another beautiful thing is that she has fitted in so well in the family. She knows who are our good friends.” ALSO READ: AWW! When Karan questioned the 74-year-old actress on Aishwarya relieving her from some of her burdens, Jaya told him, “Hopefully. I am hoping that she will take a lot more than just ‘some’.” The filmmaker then asked her, “So you want to give her lots more?” Shweta interrupted their conversation by saying, “Don’t do that mom. It’s scary and intimidating.” When Jaya rubbished her claim, Shweta said, “Slowly ease her into it.” ALSO READ: Jaya Bachchan Gets ANGRY At Paparazzi For Clicking Her PICS At Airport; Says, ‘Aese Logo Ko Naukri Se Nikaal Deni Chahiye’-Watch Amitabh Bachchan's Reaction!
For the unversed, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan tied the knot in 2007. It was one of the first celebrity weddings that was closed off from the media and only limited to family and close friends. Talking about the same, Abhishek had revealed that it was a tough decision taken by both the families as he had an ailing grandmother in the hospital. The couple welcomed their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan in 2011.
On the work front, Jaya Bachchan will be seen in Karan Johar’s comeback directorial movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi.
